His mind went into overdrive as he saw the people arriving on the rings.
They *definitely* weren't his new team. He leapt away from the doorway
just as Teal'c leapt into action.
He reached inside his jacket for his weapon, knowing that this was an
opportunity to redeem himself a little. Fight the good fight, defend Earth
and his save new-found friends. He felt the firm soft feel of the Zat's
handle as he pulled it out from his pocket. He went for the activation
switch... it wasn't there!
What was happening?!
He looked down.
Damn - his other banana.
